The town of Gueydan is excited to offer a new 10,000 sq. foot facility designed to accommodate large and small gatherings.   The Gueydan Civic Center features a large outdoor parking area, front covered entry, fully operational kitchen, outside cooking area, a wet bar and a photo area that includes a formal fireplace mantle. Tables, chairs and decorative backdrops are housed and rented on site for your convenience. The facility includes a full time groundskeeper and manager. The building's design provides for the division of the main hall, separating it into two large rooms.  Each side can be heated or cooled separately in order to provide a more economical situation for those needing less space.  A side room is also available for groups interested in holding meetings or a bride needing a dressing area.  This side room includes a separate entrance. The entire facility provides an ideal location, along with the space and affordability for anyone interested in holding special events. 

Adjacent to the Civic Center is a public walking trail.  The paved trail sits on a tree-filled lot, providing a natural habitat in which to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.  It is well lighted at night and rules are posted for public safety.  Handicap accessibility for both the building and walking trail has been provided.  For rental rates and more information call Gueydan City Hall.
